Christmas in Florence and Sienna

A quick note to tell you we are finally all connected and charged up electronically, which was a bit of a goat rope. HAd a rocky start with closed airports in London (1 inch of snow) 5 hour waits on line for rebooking and Craig and Kirst and kids having to make it to the Milan hotel on their own. But, all was well and we had fun. Rained quite a bit in MIlan and Florence, but is lovely but crisp here in Sienna. Took alovely drive thru Tuscany yesterday adn climbed the Leaning Tower of Pisa, yeah!!!!! Here is a photo us having lunch in our apartment on Christmas Lunch. We had a nice dinner in one of the few open restaurants later that evening. We grabbed some bread and salami the day before because the word was “No bread in Florence” for 2 days, which actually applied to everywhere in Italy. Ciao for now.

We were starting to worry as we hadn’t heard. Glad all is well and we are all waiting for the next tidbit of news.

What a wonderful picture . Sorry you had the delay at the airport for 1 inch of snow. We had about 22 inches in NY and NJ and Long island, imagine what that would have done. Glad that all when well, you guys are troopers and you will always have a good time. Looking forward to hearing more when you can, but for now Merry Christmas and have fun bringing in 2011, may it prove to be a great year for all. Love, Gail, Tom, & Scott
P.S. I’m actually putting feelers out fora place for the bash when you return in June.
